NTT DOCOMO, INC. and Sansan, Inc., a Japan-based provider of cloud-based contact-management services, announced today that Sansan Smartphone Plan Storage Pack, an application service for easily digitizing and managing business cards, will be offered via Business PlusTM, DOCOMO’s suite of cloud-based enterprise mobile services, effective immediately.

Business Plus offers cloud-based services mainly to enable small and midsized enterprises to deploy efficient, low-cost ICT business solutions. Enterprises can use their DOCOMO mobile devices to easily deploy 45 types of solutions (as of July 16, 2015) for task management, document editing, web conferencing and much more.

Sansan’s Smartphone Plan Storage Pack is the world’s -first (as of July 16, 2015, according to Sansan) cloud-based business card management service to enable enterprise users to easily manage their business card information online. Users simply digitize their business cards using a scanner or a camera-embedded device and then send the information to Sansan’s data center for processing and formatting.

Sansan Smartphone Plan Storage Pack is available to enterprises subscribing to more than one DOCOMO XiTM/FOMATM mobile line under their enterprise name. The cost is 120,000 yen per year (tax excluded) to register up to 5,000 business cards for an unlimited number of users.

Both companies expect to have about 3,000 enterprise customers by March 31, 2018.

In addition, DOCOMO and Sansan are planning to combine Sansan Smartphone Plan Storage Pack with online phone directory service, that is already integrated with DOCOMO’s Business Plus phone-extension solution. The launch is expected this fall.

DOCOMO is implementing its +d (pronounced “plus d”) initiative to create new value by collaborating with various outside partners. DOCOMO aims to establish new norms of convenience, supported seamlessly by advanced mobile technology, ultimately contributing to business development in Japan’s regional economies.

Sansan aims to develop its business card management service as a core business function, accessible in the palm of one’s hand, that changes how people work.
