du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has announced the successful deployment of the first 5G leased line in the UAE for China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East L.L.C (CSCEC ME) office in Dubai Industrial City. Using the latest 5G technology for the first time for a leased line, du will provide highly efficient and reliable leased line telco services.
In addition to exclusive connectivity, the leased line is also able to meet service level requirements for critical end-use applications. Through ample network coverage, along with high capacity, it guarantees high-speed download and upload speeds as well as provides users with complete control, ensuring an uninterrupted and enhanced user experience.
Saleem AlBlooshi, chief technology officer, du said: “The need for seamless connectivity has resulted in increased demand for additional network capacity as well as robust network solutions. du is pleased to deploy the first 5G leased line in the UAE to power exceptional speeds with ultra-low latency. With futuristic infrastructure in place and the service strong enough to support enterprise needs – CSCEC ME will now have fast, reliable, and improved connectivity they can rely on.”
One of the key features of the deployment is “dedicated access services” which telecom networks can be equipped with to provide high-speed connections in areas where fiber networks are not available. It is also useful in mobility application cases and in scenarios where faster service provisioning is required.
Zhu Jianchao, CIO, CSCEC ME said: “The pandemic has intensified the need for a more flexible approach to working, with seamless collaboration within our expansive teams. To achieve this, we need secure tools that are easy to manage, and fast, reliable connectivity to support them. With a leased line in our office premises, we can facilitate high-speed communication amongst teams which enhances employee experience and ultimately customer experience.”
du is planning to implement several proof of concepts of the 5G leased line for enterprises in the near future, creating a successful coequal infrastructure that fiber networks can rely on.
