Taiwanese handset manufacturer High Tech Computer Corporation has announced that two of their older key mobile phones, last year’s Desire HD and early this year’s Incredible S, are having an major update rolled out in the UK.
This is to the current Android ‘Gingerbread’ 2.3.5 version, and the HTC Sense 3.0 overlay to that very OS.
HTC made public this news over Facebook, from their HTC UK account and in a posting that reads: ‘The HTC Desire HD and HTC Incredible S just learned some great new tricks. Share what’s on your mind and take that great shot even faster with Sense 3.0’s lock screen shortcuts. Rolling out to handsets across the UK starting today.’
The Sense 3.0 UI was first seen on the HTC Sensation mobile phone, which was announced at Mobile World Congress in February. This comes with a customisable active lockscreen that brings in social updates, photos, weather or stock info – with the ability to add picture taking and call making too.
HTC’s Sense also has better graphics, animations and widgets with the HTC Watch service for movie rental, for playback on supported devices.
