Alaska Communications Business Technology Center Opens New Doors in Technology for Alaskans

Alaska businesses and community members can now access the latest technology and cloud-based solutions to innovate, collaborate and transform their businesses with the Alaska Communications  Business Technology Center, opening June 9 in Anchorage.

The Business Technology Center was built in the spirit of partnership, community and collaboration. It’s about Alaska Communications, the state’s leading IT solutions and broadband provider, helping local businesses, nonprofits and education organizations realize their opportunities and overcome their challenges through the use of technology.

“We can’t wait for the community to start using this space. The Business Technology Center is a place where they can experience, engage and explore the possibilities of technology,” Alaska Communications Vice President of Managed Services Chris Reaburn said. “This center is the first of its kind in Alaska and we are excited to see the impact it has on our state.”

The space has five meeting rooms, all of which are equipped with voice over internet phones, Wi-Fi, LCD display screens and connectivity for nearly every device. The Center can be used to collaborate with IT specialists, develop solutions, experience hands-on demonstrations, or conduct trainings, seminars and private events.

Supported by world-class partnerships as diverse as Nimble Storage and Microsoft Azure, Alaska Communications brings industry-leading solutions for hardware, software and cloud-based IT services to Alaska businesses through the Business Technology Center.

The Business Technology Center is located at 600 East 36th Ave. Its grand opening takes place Thursday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Businesses and nonprofits can use the Business Technology Center free of charge, and make reservations starting June 10 at www.AlaskaCommunications.com.
