Quortus, the company transforming core network functionality into edge-based applications, today announced the appointment of Ian Taylor as CFO. Taylor will help define and support the company’s commercial strategy as it expands into new markets and increases deployments. Quortus has also appointed Darryn Trowell as Business Development Director who will help the company develop its product and business portfolio. Quortus’ technology allows small cells to act as complete mobile networks, reducing operators’ costs and improving the user experience.
Ian Taylor joins following a highly successful career in key leadership roles including almost ten years at Zynetix where he first served as CEO before taking on the role of Managing Director following the company’s sale to Sonus Networks. Prior to joining Zynetix, Taylor served as an Account Director at Nortel Networks.
Darryn Trowell, is another Zynetix alumnus having worked at the company for seven years, most recently as VP Wireless Engineering. Before joining Zynetix, Trowell held a variety of roles for companies including: ip.access, PBI Media, Nortel, Ericsson and Nokia.
